Halo LED Mask — Red & Near-Infrared

Red with near-infrared (630 nm and 850 nm together) is the everyday mode, for smoother-looking texture and a brighter, more even-looking complexion. Amber (605 nm) is the gentler, warmer option. Blue (460 nm) suits blemish-prone skin. Mixed runs red, near-infrared and blue at once. The lights sit behind a honeycomb guard so they never touch the skin.

1. Cleanse and dry the skin. Apply nothing underneath.
2. Connect the controller to the mask, put the mask on and adjust the strap until it sits close without pressing. Press the bridge of the nose lightly so it settles.
3. Hold the power button to switch on, press M to choose a mode, then set the timer: 5, 10, 15 or 20 minutes. The controller remembers your last setting.
4. Ten to fifteen minutes a session, once a day or every other day. It switches itself off when the time is up.
5. Wipe the inside with a soft, damp cloth and recharge the controller over USB-C.

Not for use during pregnancy, or if you have epilepsy or a history of light-triggered seizures, a photosensitive condition such as lupus or porphyria, or an eye condition such as glaucoma or a retinal disorder. Do not use if you take photosensitising medication — including isotretinoin, doxycycline, tetracyclines, some antidepressants and St John's wort — or within six months of stopping isotretinoin. Avoid active skin cancers, moles under investigation, broken or irritated skin, and the area for two weeks after filler, toxin or a professional peel. The controller becomes warm in use; this is normal. Stop if the skin becomes red or uncomfortable. If you are unsure, speak to a doctor or dermatologist first.
